I can still remember the famous line of "No Longer Human" 『人間失格』somebody told me before, which goes "Mine has been a life of much shame". I want you to agree to this idea, it is a simple and lovely line, without exaggeration and omission, just enough. Don't you think so?
Maybe because passages in foreign languages convey what just they are so that we needn't read between lines. We are liberated from the messy procedure in foreign language.
By the way, I've got new shame. So it goes.
